Hit Us Up At Our SXSW Meetup / TSR/CYLS Party!

We are pumped to be co-sponsoring the Topshelf Records/Count Your Lucky Stars Records unofficial SXSW showcase on Wednesday, March 16th. Lets be honest with ourselves, does it matter if the showcase is official or not? It’s FREE and there will be great music. If you are going to be in Austin, come on by!

GGR staffers will be around for meeting up starting at around 4pm, but the TSR/CYLS party starts at 11am.

Customer Highlight — Caravels

Thank you to Topshelf Records for another pressing — this time a 7″ of Nevada’s Caravels S/T, featuring the two new tracks entitled “Dream Beaver” and “Girth Impression”.

This new single is available for pre-order through Topshelf (the records are shipping the first week of January). It is available on one of four extremely limited colors of wax – solid green (tour version), solid yellow, gray, and black. You can pre-order all four colors together as a package deal, or individually here.

Test Pressing Contest: One random pre-order through Topshelf will receive a free test pressing!

Customer Highlight — Castevet / Into It. Over It. Split 7″

This four song 7 inch is part of the “Twelve Towns” series by Into It. Over It. (the fourth in the series proudly pressed here at GGR) and features two tracks by Chicago’s Castevet. This record is being distributed by our friends at Topshelf Records, and is limited to a pressing of 500 7 inches. There are four different versions: Gray (Out of 75) – Record Release Brown (Out of 100) – Tour Version Cream (Out of 150) Black (Out of 175).

Customer Highlight — Big Kids

The respected Topshelf Records and Protagonist Music teamed up to put the debut LP from Oakland’s own Big Kids. A special package including a t-shirt is available from Topshelf. Special multi-colored wax is available from Protagonist Music.

According to Protagonist, “This record is be 9 tracks that capture the bliss of playing music with your good friends, touring in a shitty van, playing killer house shows, and seeing life through the prism of punk rock. Melodies and dirt, sing-alongs and feedback, relationships and ideas…all are represented here”.
