PRESS OPERATOR POSITION – 3RD SHIFT

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • – PROFICIENT WITH HAND TOOLS.
    • – ABLE TO REPEATEDLY LIFT UP TO 50-60 LBS
    • – CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS, ABILITY TO TROUBLESHOOT AND MAKE CONFIDENT DECISIONS.
    • – SAFETY CONSCIOUS.
    • – PROACTIVE COMMUNICATION SKILLS
    • – SELF MOTIVATED AND ABLE TO BE A POSITIVE AND PRODUCTIVE TEAM MEMBER

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS BUT NOT REQUIRED:

    • – PALLET JACK AND TOW MOTOR EXPERIENCE.
    • – BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF PNEUMATICS, ELECTRICAL, HYDRAULICS, PLUMBING.
    • – EXPERIENCE WITH OPERATING MACHINERY IN A HIGH PRESSURE PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT.

ELECTROFORMING SPECIALIST – COLUMBUS, OH

Job Description:

The Electroforming Specialist is responsible for performing and overseeing each step of the metal part production process for vinyl record plating, as well as managing the facility’s equipment and plating staff.  The Electroforming Specialist will report directly to the President of Gotta Groove Records, Inc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Chemical engineering, electrical engineering, and/or mechanical engineering training or equivalent experience.
  • Mechanical ability / experience working with machines
  • Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs or more
  • Detail oriented, proactive communication skills, safety conscious.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Reliable transportation

 

Ideal Qualifications, But Not Required:

  • Electroplating or electroforming experience is preferred
  • No prior vinyl record manufacturing experience is required, but a love and appreciation for music and/or vinyl records is desired. 

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Intake/logging/inspection of lacquers (the substrate to be plated)
  • Silvering and nickel plating of lacquers and metal substrate parts. 
  • Metal forming / centering / punching for proper stamper production.
  • Documentation/database entry, archiving, and metal master inventory management; and shipping metal parts between the Gotta Groove facilities
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and testing/maintaining chemistry levels
  • Inventory and procurement of supplies, chemicals, and raw materials for the operation.
  • Overseeing quality control of the metal parts
  • Troubleshooting issues with produced parts as well as lab equipment.
  • Setting production goals and managing workflow toward meeting those goals.
  • Overseeing a staff of up to 2 additional plating employees
  • Possible additional responsibilities maintaining and building out new equipment, assisting with other departments (packing & shipping records), and associated misc tasks.
