Record Highlight — Have Mercy

The debut Full Length from Baltimore’s Have Mercy – The Earth Pushed Back was recorded with J. Robbins and mastered at Sun Room Audio.  You can pre-order it from Topshelf Records now!

Record Highlight — Diamond Youth

Orange, recorded by Brian Mcternan (Circa Survive, Hot Water Music, The Movielife) is the follow up to Diamond Youth’s well-received official debut, Don’t Lose Your Cool, recorded by Paul Leavitt (Circa Survive, All Time Low).
Despite the varying musical tastes of each member in Diamond Youth, they all share a very common back catalogue of bands who have inspired and defined their developing years as budding artists. From Weezer to Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, and all the way back to the Beach Boys, the influence these bands had on Diamond Youth is ever-apparent in the music they write.  Pre-order now!

Record Highlight — We Were Skeletons

With the musical prowess and aggression of bands like Fugazi and Shotmaker, We Were Skeletons’ unique brand of technical, groovy, and emotional hardcore should appeal to long-time fans of the genre while still pushing its boundaries. Imagine Hot Snakes, Slint, Sleepytime Trio, mewithoutYou, and Off Minor all rolled into one breathtaking statement. Their new LP – Blame & Aging is the band’s best collection of songs to date.  Grab it now from Topshelf Records!

Record Highlight — Sirs

Sirs is a four-piece punk band from upstate New York. Formed in 2009 after meeting at school, original members consisted of Justin Jurgens, Dave Benton, Kyle Seely and Hart Seely.  Their fantastic self-titled LP dropped this month via Topshelf Records.  Grab it!

Record Highlight — You Blew It!

You Blew It! might be one of the last great hold-outs in the emo revival that took over the last decade. More sane than Algernon Cadwallader, less sonically-spacious than Cap’n Jazz, YBI! cherrypicks from 90’s emo and indie in a fashion that many have aimed for but few have achieved. These cat-loving, taco-eating dudes have been holding it down in their native Orlando scene since February 2009. Since then, they’ve had enough lineup changes to see something like twelve members come and go all while completing four out-of-state tours and a few notable gigs with The Get Up Kids.

The brand new album from You Blew It!, Grow Up, Dude is the band’s debut full length. Featuring twelve new tracks, the first pressing is out of 500 and split between 75 clear w/ green splatter, 100 opaque green, 125 white, 200 Black.  Pre-order is up now with Topshelf Records!

Record Highlight — Code Orange Kids / Full Of Hell Split

Code Orange Kids and Full Of Hell have teamed up to create what is with out a doubt the heaviest release in the Topshelf Records catalog. Featuring two new tracks from each band this EP will be released on April 24th.

The first pressing is out of 1,000 and split 200 Yellow, 300 Purple w/ Black, 500 Blue/White Marble. This item is for a copy of the EP on vinyl and a digital download of the EP.

The pre-order us up now, and One random pre order will receive a free Test Pressing of this record.

Customer Highlight — The Clippers

An Evening With…7″ is the first music ever recorded by The Clippers. Released originally on a 3″ CD and now on a 7 inch record. Featuring 5 amazing tracks that should be required summer listening. The first pressing of this record is limited to 500 7 inches and split between 100 Orange/Yellow Split colored vinyl, 125 White, and 275 Green/Black records. The records are going extremely fast (much like the summer itself), so hit up Top Shelf Records to grab one of these limited edition records before they are gone!

Ripped straight from the pages of David Blaine’s secret magic book, comes the music stylings of The Clippers. Born in September twenty ten, this two piece outfit came together and began cheers-ing their way through Allston, MA. Their high energy pop rock has brought sophistication and sexual feeling back to basement shows and venues everywhere.
