The Hot Rails are a kick ass 70s rock band from here in Cleveland.
Here they are on tour with their brand new release, SIngle Entendre.
It’s a pretty bad ass colored vinyl, done on recycled vinyl. In their words:
“We are happy that we choose the orange recycled vinyl. The records looks and sounds amazing! The album artwork printing is equally impressive.”
Check them out at The Hot Rails.com or MySpace.
This is a great project. Common Cloud Records and the Carrefour Collective are releasing a series of limited edition 7″ splits to benefit aspiring Haitian musicians who’s passions and dreams have been put on hold due to the devastating effects of the massive earthquake.
The first release includes a hand-screened & number art print, unique packaging, and a limited pressing of 300. All proceeds go towards purchasing instruments for the Holy Trinity School of Music.
Includes one track by Ragged Claws and a B-side by Mike Noyce. (Bon Iver)
Order it now, the records shipped out today!

Mayfly Records are a fantastic label from Mansfield, OH. Most of their releases fall into the punk, hardcore, metal genres, but are all focused on progressive social, political, and musical ideas.
It’s a pleasure working with them because they love doing crazy stuff with vinyl. This was for Cedar Falls, Iowa based The Former Thieves. They are touring everywhere, go see them live and pick up some exclusive tour vinyl.

Trouble Books are from Akron, OH. They list their influences as “Czech hardcore from around 1933” If that doesn’t make you want to listen to their sweet new Green vinyl, I don’t know what will. Check out more info and tour dates on their MySpace. You can buy their record from Bark & Hiss Records.
