Included Items:
GGR 180 Gram records are only pressed on black vinyl. The custom formula black vinyl we use performs far better in the larger biscuit size required for 180 gram pressings than any currently available color vinyl. However, you can place an order comprised of both 180 gram black and color standard weight LP’s – please just contact us for a quote.
OTHER OPTIONS FOR STEP 1:
Innersleeves are the inner sleeve/bag that the record is inserted directly into. GGR RICE PAPER innersleeves are included by default on 180 Gram records. The options in this step of the order form are optional upgrades.
Polylined innersleeves have diecut holes on the front and back.
Printed innersleeves are available with or without holes. Standard paper options for printed innersleeves are 100# gloss text paper or 80# offset uncoated paper (same price for either). Please specify which of these papers you desire when you order.
Direct-To-Board print means that the print is done directly onto the cardstock that the jacket is made from. This is the most common type of printed packaging for records in the marketplace today.
Please contact us for a custom quote for the add-on item you selected -- the price cannot be automatically calculated by this form. (800) 295-0171 or [email protected]
NOTE: Printing on brown chipboad without putting a white underlayment under the inks will cause the colors to have the brown board show through. Very light colors may not show up at all. Please contact us to discuss this option before selecting - putting a white underlayment under the inks costs extra, and must be quoted on a per-project basis.
Printing on brown chipboard without a white underlayment does not cost extra.
Tip-On jackets are a completely different type of construction than direct-to-board print. Tip-On print is done on a sheet of text paper, which is then wrapped and glued to a corrugated core.
GGR has gone through much R&D to design and produce the ultimate tip-on jacket. There is no tip-on or wrapped jacket in the marketplace comparable to the GGR tip-on jacket. GGR gatefold tip-ons are constructed of a unique hybrid chipboard core that is imported from Japan, and wrapped with dual-laminated sheets. The design ensures that the jacket does not deteriorate or become less rigid over time, and also assists in making insertion/removal of the record easier. This is the ultimate jacket for record archiving, and provides the ultimate protection against warping.
GGR gatefold tip-on jackets must be laminated – your choice of gloss or matte lamination is included in the price (and you can do a different form of lamination on the outside vs the inside of the jacket).
GGR single-pocket tip-on jackets are constructed of a full bound 24pt whiteboard core, which is then wrapped with WB gloss coated text paper or uncoated offset paper. Lamination is not available on single-pocket tip-on jackets.
Textures, Diecutting, and other custom options are available, please contact us for a quote.(800) 295-0171 or email [email protected]
You will find the most commonly ordered sizes/formats below. However, we can make any custom size up to 33 inches in longest dimension, and can do custom folding / diecutting options upon request.
Standard paper for booklets and inserts is 100# gloss text paper. Uncoated 70# offset paper is available at the same price. Other paper stocks and cardstocks available upon quote. Call (800) 295-0171 or email [email protected]
The pricing below includes hosting of your audio – both an mp3 version and a high resolution version –, a video (if desired), printing of coupons that go inside of your record jacket with a thumbnail of your album cover and redeemable code for your audio/video content.
The pricing also includes our stock “Download Included” sticker. Applying sticker to shrinkwrap = $0.10ea. Applying sticker to polybags = $0.15ea.
Hosting is for an unlimited time duration, but each code is only redeemable once.
*At GGR, we use ExlfilmPlus GPS Shrinkwrap, which is made at least in part with pre-consumer recycled content, and may be recyclable in many geographic areas in the USA and Canada via the How2Recycle network. However, we feel that polybags are more environmentally friendly than shrinkwrap, because they are typically kept with the record for the life of the record, vs shrinkwrap which is generally thrown away after purchase.
